Medication Technician (LVN) (menlo park)

Our senior living community is seeking a full time and per diem LVN to work as a Medication Technician within our elderly community. This position requires a person centered care approach, experience, compassion, responsible, confidentiality and professional representation of the organization. Two years previous experience pouring and passing medication is required for this position please do not apply if you do not have two experience.
The essential functions include:
Perform Medication Administration per state regulations.
Pour and administer resident medications.
Ensure that the MAR's is complete and accurate
Notify the health provider of any medication errors, omissions, side effects and/or food-drug interactions.
Maintain medication storage, destruction and narcotic management within regulatory guidelines.
Observe the residents and report any changes or unusual findings to Nurse.
Communicate pertinent resident information to co-workers when leaving area or at shift changes.
Requirements:
Must have a current LVN license
At least 2 years Medication Technician experience within a senior living setting.
Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills in English.
Current First Aid / CPR Certification.
Clearance through DOJ fingerprinting required.
Valid CA DriverÃ¢Â€Â™s License, proof of clean driving record and insurable under the community policy.
Candidate MUST be able to work all shifts.
