Medical Assistant/LPN (South Tampa)

Solo Internist is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant or LPN to assist with patient care. Job will include but not be limited to triaging patients, giving injections, drawing blood, taking patient histories, ordering supplies, filing, answering phone, some insurance follow-up, making appointments and general clerical work. A large part of the job will entail counseling weight loss patients on a weekly basis , following their progress and acting as a weight loss coach. This is an Internal Medicine/ Bariatric practice so there will be a mixture of many types of patients, including the elderly.
Candidate must be dependable and have a stable job history.
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience working back office and have references. The candidate should be comfortable multi-tasking and be efficient, well-organized, neat and clean. This position requires an individual who is pleasant, enthusiastic and a self-motivated team player. A positive, can-do attitude is a must. Type A personality is welcome here!
Resume should include past 5 years of work experience, at least two job references and salary desired.

Location: South Tampa
Compensation: 10-12 per hour to start depending upon experience
