NEW! Tech savvy, FUN, SMART Dermatology MA,LPN: Paperless, NexTech! (Upper East Side)
at in Upper East Side
Recruiters and agencies who contact me will immediately be reported to Craig’s List and to NY State.
Also, if your cover letter includes the words “your organization” or “your company”… I will not read your resume or application. See below, I am looking for someone who wants to work HERE and have an amazing time!
PLEASE RESPOND ONLY IF YOU HAVE AT LEAST ONE FULL YEAR OF SPECIFIC DERMATOLOGY OFFICE EXPERIENCE and are formally certified as a medical assistant or LPN. I am NOT able to train you for this position! Non-certified M.A.‘s may apply if you have extensive and detailed dermatology office experience. I am also looking for an EXPERIENCED DERMATOLOGY OFFICE MANAGER.
I’m a board-certified female dermatologist with a BRAND NEW small, practice in a beautiful location on the upper east side, easy to get to by multiple subway lines and buses, and looking out the windows at central park.
I’m looking to start with the team that will stay with me long term, growing together, and enjoying work every day. I have a brand new totally PAPERLESS office, and need someone with extensive experience in being a KIND and POSITIVE, super-intelligent MA or LPN with administrative skills, who is DETAIL ORIENTED, tech-savvy, tech-interested, types well, knows computers VERY WELL, and is willing to do the extra up-front technology training to learn a new, fun way to practice. I will always listen to good ideas for how to make the practice more efficient, smoother, more fun, and of higher quality for our patients and ourselves. I will always strive to reward practice- and team-building efforts financially to the best of my ability, as well as in other ways.
This is a fun challenge, but not totally predictable, so I would like you to have some recognition of that, and see it as an opportunity to connect with a great job with OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH. I need assistance with all aspects of the office including Mohs surgery assisting, laser treatments, patient coordination and communication, and administrative tasks. You will need to know all of the front desk operations as well as everything in the back assisting me directly. Everyone in this office will be CROSS-TRAINED to do all jobs for flexibility and fun TEAM effort.
Please be VERY COMFORTABLE WITH COMPUTERS, have excellent SPELLING and typing skills, and know about handling busy phones, scheduling, medical insurances, health care legal regulations, and how to communicate clearly, articulately, intelligently, literately, and KINDLY. I want only the highest quality service for our patients and want someone who has the utmost professionalism when it counts, in addition to the ability to have fun when it’s appropriate. There are no paper charts in this office, and an EXTREMELY complex electronic record system that you will be expected to completely master (along with me!). If you have real experience with the NEXTECH EMR and PM system…. let me know. You are extra valuable.
(If you have read this far, then take the next sentence seriously. I’m getting a bunch of generic junk cover letters that have nothing to do with my posting—those are not the people I want.) Email resume and PARAGRAPH EXPLAINING WHY THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU in detail (relating to THIS posting, not a generic cover letter. i will know) and PHONE NUMBER. I have received a few resumes blankly attached with no introduction or explanation and that shows me the person isn’t really reading or doesn’t really care specifically about my concept and my project. Remember…. I’m looking for someone really, truly engaged and excited.
I am very busy already and need someone who can offer many hours and stay late/come early as needed. This is the start of a great, well-known practice. I have only 5 star reviews online, and I want a great team to help me keep it that way. Let’s build a great practice that has buzz around town and that we can all be proud of and excited to go work at every day. Make your friends jealous.
