Seeking Critical Care LPN! (Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth)

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operate specialized equipment such a pulmonary artery line, central venous pressure line, peripheral arterial line, ventriculostomy and cardiac monitors.
- Administer medications and treatments such as inhalation therapy and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist in administration and monitoring of tube feeding, intravenous and hyperalimentation fluids and monitor for complications of administration. Monitor epidural fluids and Patient Controlled Analgesia pumps.
- Care for patients on pressure and volume ventilators and for patients in isolation.
Only experienced and qualified candidates should apply. Qualified candidates must have the following experience, or will not be considered for this position:
- Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
- Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as a LPN in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the US Virgin Islands.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience as a LPN within the last 2 years working in a critical care setting of similar size and complexity. Homecare, rehab, and externships/clinicals will not be considered as viable recent experience and will not be considered.
- Must hold a current and valid CPR certification
{You MUST have had previous critical care experience or you will not be considered for this position}
