Concentra is seeking to hire a RN, LPN, Paramedic or EMT to work on a PRN basis with our At-Work Program in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Will require current medical credentials, valid drivers license, reliable transportation and current CPR certification. Previous experience with injections, blood draws, finger sticks and heath education is preferred. Qualified candidates will have good customer service, communication and computer skills.JOB SUMMARY:
Assists with patient care, physical examinations, ancillary tests, and performs a variety of clerical duties in accordance with Concentra policies, practices and procedures.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Escorts patients to exam or treatment area, prepares patients for examination or treatment and assists as requested.
Draws blood and prepares appropriate paperwork for laboratory pick-up.
Performs urine drug screens, using proper chain of custody; ensures preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory.
Maintains exam rooms, lab area and treatment rooms clean and stocked, maintaining inventory of supplies and re-orders as needed.
Assists in medical record maintenance.
Performs front office or clerical duties as required.
Maintains and operates all equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures.
Performs ancillary testing and tasks as required ( PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws) in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Performs other duties, as assigned.Required ExperienceEDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:Graduate of an approved RN, LPN or EMT program.
Current registration/license in the state where employed.
Successful completion of UDS, BAT, PFT, FIT, etc., certification.JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:Minimum one year experience in clinical or related field.JOB-RELATED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:Demonstrated knowledge of medicine requirements.
Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations.
Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills.
Demonstrated willingness to participate in Continuing Medical Education.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
