RN or LPN for Home Care Day Shift (St. Paul)

at in St. Paul

Regular, steady Day shift with stable client
Shift: Every Other Saturday, Sunday, Monday, 7am-3pm
First open shifts: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, February 11, 12, 13, 2012
Client is cognitively delayed, adult male paraplegic with trach/vent (LTV 950/800)
The ideal candidate will adhere to high professional standards while providing client with excellent care throughout the day shift.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read and speak English
Ability to hear
Ability to lift 25 lbs
Ability to stand for 1 hour at a time.
Ability to manage transfers of adult client with electric lift.
Essential Qualifications
Current MN Nursing License (RN or LPN)
Current CPR for Healthcare providers
Must be available for open shifts
Preferred Qualifications
Home Care Experience
Trach and Vent (LTV 950/800) hands-on experience within the last 6 months
Experience ordering and organizing supplies
Essential Functions
Competent medical care for client, including timely assessments and appropriate interventions and therapies to maintain medical stability or identify areas of possible concern.
Appropriate interaction with client to support client's social and emotional goals.
Additional Functions
Appropriate interaction with client family.
Professional approach to working with other staff members.
Candidates must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States within 3 days of hire.
