Extremely busy medical practice looking for a LPN or Certified Medical Assistant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (This list may not include all duties assigned)
Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts patients to the exam room.
Prepares the exam room for the patients to enter.
Maintains inventory, cleanliness and order in the exam room.
Assists physician with minor procedures.
Attach proper paperwork to the chart for physician's review.
Prepare injections for the physician.
Hang x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam.
Assist the patient with clothing when necessary.
Assist with scheduling follow up appointments
Disposing of biohazardous waste and sharps
Requesting reports from various facilities for the physician.
Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
Direct physician in patient appointment order.
Assist with Pre-authorization of prescriptions, MRI's, etc., and faxing prescriptions to patients or pharmacies.
Assist in incoming calls thru out the day
Writing of prescriptions under physician's supervision
Prepping patient prior to physician seeing patients: i.e. Medical History
Scanning and Placing of paperwork
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
Experience in orthopedics or pain management field desired.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Knowledge of insurance and Medicare billing preferred.
Strong computer skills required.
Bilingual preferred but not required Location: Edison, NJ
Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience and training.
