Full-time Healthcare Clinical Manager (RN/LPN) (Centennial)

SUMMARY
To effectively lead a Rocky Mountain Urgent Care and Family Medicine clinic. The position will be accountable for the effectiveness
and efficiency of the clinic through continuous improvement of processes, outcomes and personnel. Working with others within the
organization to identify gaps and create effective business objectives and goals for the achievement of the company's mission and
goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following. The duties will be performed in accordance to
policy and procedure, standard of care, and in accordance of state certification.
1. Assume responsibility for the ongoing/daily operations of the clinic.
Std. 1 Maintain organization and cleanliness of the entire clinic.
Std. 2 Obtain nutritional supplies (Gatorade, crackers) for your clinic as needed.
Std. 3 Schedule and coordinate onsite maintenance and cleaning when required. This includes, but is not limited to, periodic
carpet and window cleaning, air conditioning and/ or heating issues through building management.
Std. 4 Build and manage vendor relationship in a professional manner.
2. Assume responsibility for the ongoing/daily management of back and front office staff and effective clinical operations.
Std. 1 Ensure staff maintains professionalism at all times including proper uniform attire, manner of performing professional
duties, and all forms of communication with patients, families, and companies with which we do business.
Std. 2 Make schedules (front and back office) 1 month in advance and submit to Clinical Director prior to due date.
Std. 3 Assume first call for clinical staff that are ill or unable to come to work; participate in Manager on call schedule.
Std. 4 Hold staff accountable for unauthorized absences through appropriate counseling.
Std. 5 Ensure all staff members follow established policies and procedures. Assist with the implementation and documentation
of any new policies as needed. Discipline and/or provide feedback to those members who do not follow policy. Continue
to observe staff members for adherence to policy.
3. Oversees the areas of recruitment, hiring, payroll, and management of clinic employees in conjunction with human resources.
Std. 1 Coordinate with Human Resources to identify recruiting needs and assist/initiate interviews of new personnel.
Std. 2 Ensure new staff members are provided an appropriate orientation with guidance and training in the areas of triage, back
office duties, lab procedures, opening and closing procedures, phone etiquette, front desk logs, and money balancing.
Std. 3 Complete annual performance reviews with the assistance of human resources and clinical director and/or operations
director.
Std. 4 Consistently mentor team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness in clinic. Provide coaching/counseling as
necessary.
Std. 5 Review payroll each pay period, monitor hours worked and verify accuracy of the payroll. Provide feedback as required to
employees.
4. Provide documentation and follow up as required for quality assurance.
Std. 1 Check daily logs for balances and forward to AUC in a timely manner on a regular basis.
Std. 2 Ensure that the autoclave is properly maintained.
Std. 3 Ensure laboratory quality control/compliance.
Std. 4 Report/fax all reportable infectious disease cases to Tri-County Health Department as required.
Std. 5 Ensure Radiology quality control/compliance (at Englewood, Reunion, Westminster, and Boulder clinics only).
Std. 6 Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of departmental goals.
5. Order supplies and medications for the clinic. May delegate responsibility as needed.
Std. 1 Ensure clinic does not run out of supplies or medications.
Std. 2 Maintain NuCare at your location. Ensure medications are dispensed per protocol. Ensure staff is trained appropriately
on NuCare. Ensure no unnecessary expenditures occur such as with overstocking.
Std. 3 Monitor and track McKesson orders through inventory program.
Std. 4 Monitor and track DJ Ortho program
Std. 5 Monitor and track backordered supplies through the purchasing system. Utilize established par levels as prescribed in the
policy.
Std. 6 Work with purchasing coordinator to order office supplies
6. Attends and coordinates when appropriate meetings amongst clinical, clerical and provider personnel promote an environment that
encourages effective communication.
Std. 1 Communicate identified issues and concerns in a constructive manner and participate in solutions.
Std. 2 Participate in bi-weekly management meetings with clinical director and director of operations as needed.
Std. 3 Convene staff meetings monthly with assistance of clinical director and director of operations.
Std. 4 Coordinate lunches and/or dinner for staff on a regular basis.
7. Ensure that patient care and flow, including follow up items are completed according to company policy and any regulations
established by local, state and federal government agencies.
Std. 1 Follow up with patient complaints and/or incidents and convey findings to clinical director, director of operations or the
medical director to determine if further action required. Maintain a tracking system for the purpose of trending.
Std. 2 Maintain and monitor patient flow throughout the clinic and notify clinical director, director of operations and/or medical
director of any problems.
Std. 3 Oversee Worker's Compensation cases ensuring paperwork is appropriately faxed and employers are contacted
regarding their employee's care. Coordination and training with Worker's Compensation director should occur on an
ongoing basis.
Std. 4 Ensure call backs and faxing to PCP's is completed daily.
Std. 5 Investigate patient complaints and report to clinical director, director of operations and/or medical director as necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervision over front and back office personnel. Five years prior staff supervisory experience is required to include
performance management, staffing, employee coaching and creating a high-morale team environment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
− 5 years of proven supervisory experience is highly desired for exceptional candidates. Management experience within ambulatory,
urgent care and/or family practice environments and working knowledge of both front and back office clinical environments is highly
desired.
− Requires ability to work flexible schedules/shifts as needed to accommodate staffing needs, will serve as primary contact for
scheduling during staff absences.
− Maintain licensure and/or certification per state guidelines.
− Document participation in continuing education per license or certification requirements.
− Must have intermediate skills in MS Word, MS Excel and be internet savvy
− Must demonstrate knowledge of the rationale of appropriate patient care.
− Demonstrate the ability to maintain good inter-personal relationships with co-workers and health team members
− Communicates through appropriate channels
− Demonstrate ability to calculate drug dosages
− Demonstrate ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
− Document continuing education per licensure and certification requirements and clinic protocols
DESIRED CERTIFICATES
− Candidates with current RN/LPN are highly desired, active LST certification is desired
− MA/LST, EMT-B, EMT-P, LPN
− Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) card
− IV certification
