Please note: all positions are part time and may work into a full time schedule. Applicants who are flexible will receive top consideration. Above positions may be combined for a full time schedule. Being able to take more than one class that is offered is preferred.
Caregiver Training Institute is a Vocational Training School for the NA 1, CNA 2 Acute Care, and Med Aide programs. We also offer CPR classes & Med Aide CEU hours.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for these positions you MUST be an RN or LPN with a current unencumbered license to practice in Oregon. DUE TO THE OSBN REGULATIONS NEW GRADS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THESE POSITIONS.
For the RN Classroom Instructor in the NA-1 program you must have:
(A) At least two (2) years of nursing experience as an RN.
(B) At least one (1) year of your experience should be in a licensed nursing facility (LTC).
(C) You should have an understanding of the role of the CNA as well as their authorized duties.
For the RN Classroom Instructor in the Med Aide program,
At least three (3) years experience as an RN including:
(A) One year as a nurse educator, a primary instructor in a nursing assistant training program or as a nurse administrator, and
(B) One year working in the LTC setting (nursing facility).
For the CMA Clinical Preceptor:
(A) The equivalent of one (1) year full time experience as a licensed nurse (may be an RN or LPN), and;
(B) Three (3) months nursing experience in a nursing facility (LTC).
Preference will be given to those nurses who:
• have a certificate of training from an Educate-the-Educator program, or
• have been previously approved as an instructor through the OSBN, or
• have experience training adults
• are flexible with their scheduling needs (evening and weekend schedules must be acceptable)
• nurses who desire to be trained into several different class and clinical positions
We are looking for nurses who are patient, can explain curriculum content effectively, as well as demonstrate skills to the students.
Course schedules may be found at our new web site at: www.CNATrainingOregon.com. Applicants should be able to work a flexible job schedule. Some part-time positions may work into full time depending on course schedules. Applicants must understand that at an educational facility, when there are no classes or clinicals scheduled, there is no work.
