Immediate opening for an LPN in the rewarding field of Substance Use-Disorder Treatment. This treatment center provides round-the-clock nursing/medical services for those suffering from addiction with or without co-occurring disorders-mental illness.
Opening is part-time, three days per week, 11:00 PM to 07:00 AM, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts.
Responsible for:
Overall medical department functions, including evaluations and assessments at time of admission, throughout detox and during residential treatment; medication management protocols including standing orders, sliding scale insulin calculations, narcotic storage standards, and detoxification protocols; point-of-care specimen collection for glucose monitoring and collection of urine specimens for drug screening and pregnancy testing; medication assessment and administration, vital signs and medical management of co-occurring disorders.
Position Requirements:
Ã¢Â€Â¢ Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing Program
Ã¢Â€Â¢ Practical Nursing license in the State of Michigan without restrictions
Ã¢Â€Â¢ Experience in a substance abuse treatment facility desired but not required
Ã¢Â€Â¢ CPR certification or acquisition within 30 days of employment
Ã¢Â€Â¢ Phlebotomy experience desired but not required
Ã¢Â€Â¢ A recovering individual must have at least five (5) years sobriety with current evidence of social and emotional stability Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt
