PRIVATE DUTY DAY NURSE – Current Opening for MONDAY Days, 8:30am to 4:30pm (Total of 8 hours per week)
We are seeking a professional, reliable LPN to care for our 19-year-old daughter who has special needs (both developmental and medical needs). We have a small, skilled and wonderful team of nurses and LNAs working with our daughter and have need of a nurse to fill the position of Monday Day Nurse (8:30am to 4:30pm).
Our home is clean and comfortable and is located in South Hero (sometimes this job’s location is in Milton at Nurse Care Coordinator’s home). At this time, this is the only opening we have available; the opportunity to pick up more hours perdiem (to fill in for other staff) is occasionally possible.
PLEASE BE ADVISED that even though this is a Private Duty Position, that we do MULTIPLE, thorough background checks. Only nurses with a current, good nursing license (for Vermont) and good driving history, will be considered for this position, all others need not apply.
Job Responsibilities (partial list): complete assistance with ADLs, g-tube feedings, medications, respiratory management, personal care and bed to wheelchair transfers. Transporting patient (using adapted accessible van) to/from appointments and helping with coordination of appointments. Learning communication methods and assisting with educational plan (at home).
Experience/Knowledge of the following is desirable: Enteral Pump, SAT Monitor, CPAP, suction machine, respiratory assessments, O2, nebulizer treatments, and ROM
