Looking to fill night shift positions as well as some days and evenings.
Who We Are
We're a new smaller health care provider with a BIG Heart and a BIGGER mission. Our Autumn House provides a unique family style environment for those receiving end of life care. Our home accommodates both the resident and their loved ones. Families can have peace of mind when placing their loved one with us, knowing our trained, professional staff's primary focus is on providing quality care, dignity, comfort and pain management.
Here's a sampling of your work tasks as a Medication Aide:
o Provide personal cares: Bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, skin care
o Take and record vital signs
o Assist with transfers, turning and repositioning
o Chart and document on residents cares
o Maintain a clean and safe environment
o Basic housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry
o Provide or assist with social activities as requested
o Communicate with outside services by fax, phone and/or email
o Provide quality customer service
o Administer Medications (note: Med Aides only)
o Attend staff meetings and ongoing in-services
To be successful we require that you have:
o Strong desire and passion to provide comfort, dignity and care for individuals facing the end of life
o Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred in a care giving setting involving end of life care
o Certified with the Nebraska State Aide Registry
o Present a health clearance and satisfactory health history screening
o Ability to do light cooking and housekeeping
o Accurately gather and secure vital information
o Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with residents, families, staff, physicians and outside service agency personnel
o Take and follow directions from Administrator, Nursing staff, Hospice Agency staff and physicians.
o Reliable work history and references
