Experienced Medical Assistant or LPN wanted for recently opened Naturopathic Medical Office in North Scottsdale area (near Scottsdale & Lone Mountain Roads). Part-time to start but must be able to increase to full-time with willingness to work some Saturdays or evenings occasionally as fast growth anticipated.
Position Requirements / Functions / Responsibilities
• Certified Medical Assistant or LPN - 2+ years experience gets first look
• Positive professional interactions in person and on phone with all contacts
• Acknowledges patient rights on confidentiality, follows HIPAA guidelines / regulations
• Schedule patients, call for appointments / follow-up calls / marketing calls to former patients
• Quickbooks experience required, scanning, faxing, EMR experience a plus
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently including composition of letters to patients, providers, and insurers. Bi-lingual a plus
• Consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance mandatory
• Patient check-in, obtain patient information with vitals, and check-out
• Call insurers for benefit information, fill out superbills for patients or insurers
• Well experienced in phlebotomy for small children, adolescents, and adults
• Preparation of lab samples for pick-up or shipping including all paperwork
• Performs waived and moderate complexity in-house laboratory tests
• Assist with preparation and administration of IV's, IM's, and SQs
• Open mind, able and willing to "jump in" with learning new skills and procedures essential
• Participates in staff development activities, marketing seminars and clinics
• Prepares and maintains treatment rooms, work areas, and patient areas
• Knowledge of naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and nutrition a plus
You will be an important part of the team, offering accurate administrative and medical support, and input about patients and the practice.
