My company, CEI Staffing Services (a no-fee agency), provides on-call health care professionals to the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, Mississippi. The Armed Forces Retirement Home offers Independent, Long Term/Skilled Care, Assisted Living, and Special Care (dementia) options for its residents.
Due to a large number of our current employees moving into full time positions (both on site and elsewhere) we are currently short staffed and in need of supplementing our staff with quality individuals.
As stated above, the current contract with the Armed Forces Retirement Home is for on-call nursing staff. Typically, I receive a schedule indicating shift needs at the start of the month and proceed from there. However, there are also instances when a federal employee has an emergency and a true call-out ensues which may require coverage as soon as possible (though notification is usually 8-16 hours in advance of the scheduled shift).
Our biggest need right now is primarily second shift during weekdays and a combination of second and third shift on weekends.
Current pay rates are as follows:
LPN: $17.89/Hour
RN: $25.82/ Hour
And Shifts are as follows:
Evening Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM
Night Shift: 11:00PM -- 7:30AM
Holiday pay rates will always be counted as '1.5 X Regular Rate' or 'time and a half' as it is sometimes called.
The procedure outlined by the Armed Forces Retirement Home requires that I submit a complete credentials packages for their review prior to orientation.
