Wellness Services Director (LPN or RN) - ALA Category I or II Required (Birmingham )

A Senior Living community with Independent, Assisted Living and SCALF neighborhoods in Birmingham area has a position available for a qualified Assisted Living Administrator Category I or II. Our community is in the beginning stages of a complete multi-million dollar renovation, under new management and consulting services by one of Birmingham’s leaders in premier Senior Living.

Requirements:
- RN or LPN with strong and RECENT assisted living and leadership skills will be considered a competitive candidate. Alabama RN or LPN license is mandatory.
- Alabama Assisted Living Adminstrator License Category 1 or 2 (current) or eligible to sit for exam
- 3 + years recent and verifiable experience in Assisted Living as a Health and Wellness Services Director, Resident Services Director and/or ALA
- Excellent references and be able to pass H/P, TB testing and criminal background; as well as meet or exceed the Alabama Department of Public Health Assisted Living Division training requirements
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Regulatory compliance for Assisted Living and SCALF
Clinical and wellness supervision of all campus residents
Scheduling for Assisted Living Nursing team; providing and ensuring accurate coverage necessary to deliver excellence in care and service at all times
HR – hiring, coaching/counseling, staff development of all Assisted Living Nursing and Care team
Coordination of plan of care and services for Assisted Living and SCALF
Medical Director partnership a minimum of monthly; but as needed based on residents change of condition and/or need
Quality Assurance reporting to management company; State of Alabama
Determine and evaluate assisted living appropriateness for prospects
Physician, family and interdisciplinary team communication – consistent and follow up based on level of need
On – call 24 hours a day as a consultant for emergencies in the community
1 – weekend every 4 – 6 weeks
2 – 2nd shifts a month
1 – Overnight shift every 2 months
Leads by example; heavy floor oversight and presence
8:30am to 5:30pm; with 1 hour lunch
