LPN and RN – Private Duty and Clinical (PRN/Per Diem)

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
• Illinois LPN or RN license REQUIRED.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical setting.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
• English fluency — speaking, reading, and writing.
• Maintain confidentiality according to HIPPA guidelines at all times.
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
• Fluent in English — speaking, reading, and writing.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar guidelines as well as the ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Duties according to LPN and RN licensure
• Directs, initiates, and implements patient care plan
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination
• Takes and records vital signs
• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
• Initiates patient education plan
• Assists in bathing, dressing, transferring, walking, ADLs
• Provide injections at flu clinics
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Successful candidates will be required to submit to post-offer, pre-employment Physical Examination, Drug Screening, Background Check
• Successful candidates will be required to submit annual Physical Examinations and TB Test Results
• Successful candidates must submit verification of AHA Certified CPR Training and Certification
• Must be able to lift/transfer patients may be required.
