Position Overview: Seeking part-time (32 hrs) LPN for Upscale Nutrition & Wellness Center in 2 CT locations (Orange & Shelton)
The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, works under the direct supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical guidelines set forth by the organization. Under general direction, provides patient care; obtains patient's vitals; administers IM injections; conducts urinalysis, EKG, body composition, and phlebotomy; documents patients' progress; and assists with patient care management. The environment is fast-paced, and the position is multifaceted.
Essential Job Functions
• Conducts urinalysis, EKG, phlebotomy, and body composition
• Obtains patient's vitals
• Administers IM injections
• Prepares laboratory order forms and obtains results
• Assists physician or mid-level practitioner with patient referrals to other healthcare professionals
Non-essential Job Functions
• Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR
• Assists physician/practitioner with medication inventory procedures
• Conducts consultations as delegated by supervising physician with patients regarding the program
• Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns
• Assists with all administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, scheduling patients, and transmitting medical records
• Responsible for daily inventory levels of all clinical supplies
• Trains additional staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager and/or physician
• Participates in clinic marketing efforts and provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success
• Demonstrate knowledge of supplement product line
• Assist with customer relations efforts; shipping, dormant patients, birthday cards, post cards, etc.
• Possesses proficiency with; patient chart, EMR, patient encounters (including patient check-in to check-out)
• Performs other clinical duties as required
Requirements
• Degree and license requirements specific to the state
• Specific experience desired

• Motivational counseling/advising skills
• Must be able to multi-task, apply critical thinking skills, and provide highest level of customer service at all levels of the operation
• Interpersonal / human relations skills
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work with as part of the clinic team and corporate structure
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Preferences
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Two years' experience in phlebotomy Location: Shelton & Orange
Compensation: $15-19/hr DOE
