The Admissions Coordinator has primary responsibility for the timely admission of all patients to the program. Serve as the lead coordinator of all patient admissions activity while holding accountability as the primary coordinator of all aspects associated with the admissions process. Communicate by telephone and coordinate Odyssey services with referral sources, RN/Case Managers, insurance companies, patients and families. Coordinate services and/or equipment with contracted vendors. Maintain communication with pending patients, their families, and referral sources and routinely follow the progress of prospective patients and those referrals not taken under care (NTUC). Effectively use the Company’s information system in processing all admission information as required.Qualifications:
• Minimum age requirement of 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent and customer service experience required. Hospice or medical office experience preferred. LPN/LVN certification highly preferred
• Proficient PC skills.
• Strong communication, organization, negotiation, and public relations skills required.
• Ability to maintain business and clinical files in a systematic and orderly fashion.
• Compliance with accepted professional standards and practices.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.
• Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
• Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
• Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations I believe the best is yet to come.
