RN Classroom Instructor -- RN or LPN Clinical Preceptors
CAREGIVER TRAINING INSTITUTE IS WORKING ON SEVERAL CONTRACT AGREEMENTS FOR EXCLUSIVE TRAINING OF LARGE NUMBERS OF STUDENTS. WE NEED RN'S FOR THE CLASSROOM TRAINING PORTION. THIS WILL BE A PART TIME POSITION AND MAY WORK INTO FULL TIME.
Caregiver Training Institute is a vocational training school for the NA 1, CNA 2, and Med Aide programs.
Our school also offers CPR classes and Med Aide CEU hours. We currently have openings for an RN CLASSROOM INSTRUCTOR, as well as RN or LPN CLINICAL PRECEPTORS.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for these positions you MUST be an RN or LPN with a current license to practice in Oregon. Due to OSBN regulations, new graduates are NOT eligible for this position.
For the RN Classroom Instructor position, you MUST have at least two (2) years of nursing experience as an RN. At least one (1) year of this experience should be in a licensed nursing facility (LTC). You should have an understanding of the role of the CNA as well as their authorized duties.
To be a CMA Clinical Preceptor you must have the equivalent of one (1) year full time experience as a licensed nurse and three (3) month nursing experience in a nursing facility (LTC).
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
Preference will be given to those nurses who:
• have a certificate of training from an Educate-the-Educator program, or
• have been previously approved as an instructor through the OSBN, or
• have experience training adults
We are looking for nurses who are patient, can explain curriculum content effectively, as well as demonstrate skills to the students.

These are part-time positions that may work into full time. Applicants must understand that at an educational facility when there are no classes or clinicals scheduled, there is no work.
