The Pearl at Kruse Way is currently recruiting for a part-time or full-time NOC Shift Charge Nurse with experience working in short/long term subacute geriatric rehab clinical setting . A Charge Nurse for Avamere is responsible for excellent patient care in a long-term care, skilled nursing clinical setting. You will work with medically complex, geriatric patients with various diagnosis such as: Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke, brain injury, various neurological disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, amputation, joint replacement, fractures, cardiac conditions and pulmonary conditions.
The Charge Nurse follows the Plan of Care established for the patient and/or resident. In addition, the Charge Nurse supervises throughout their shift the care, treatment and services provided to patient by nursing staff, as well as other healthcare staff assigned to that unit. The Charge Nurse ensures all documentation, charting and reporting has been completed correctly and in a timely manor; demonstrate strong ethical and safety practices, and works closely with other nursing staff and attending physicians on patient update and or changes in status.
