Medical Assistant or LPN for Pediatric Practice (Newark, DE)

Part time Medical Assistant or LPN position available for an individual who is dependable, energetic, enthusiastic and willing to work hard. A busy primary care pediatric practice in Newark, Delaware, is looking to fill a position for either a medical assistant or an LPN for approximately 25 - 30 hours per week. Hours may vary and include a Saturday rotation 9 am-12 pm and an occasional evening until 8 pm. Must be a certified MA or a DE licensed LPN. Responsibilities include:
1. Rooming patients with vital signs and weight (Practice uses an electronic medical record so must feel comfortable using a computer.)
2. Stock exam rooms daily.
3. Give immunizations to pediatric patients newborn to age 21.
4. Manage vaccine inventory.
5. Manage supply ordering in the office.
6. Manage telephone messages from patients, calls from providers and pharmacies in a professional and efficient manner.
7. Make appointments for patients and be able to check patients in and out in the absence of a receptionist.
This position is a terrific position for a self starting motivated individual who is interested in going above and beyond for the success of the practice. These positions could evolve into full-time positions. Dependability and flexibility are key to this position.
