SarahCare Adult Day Services is seeking a qualified LPN/Activity Assistant full time, biligual in spanish/english is a plus. We are a Monday-Friday day program that assists adults and seniors during the day with activities, socializing, and healthcare assistance. We are located in the Eagle Run Plaza off 129th and Maple at 3615 N. 129th St. No phone calls please. A good candidate will posess a valid Nebraska LPN license, clear background check, experience working with adult and seniors with various physical/cognitive disabilities and health issues, basic nursing skills, ability to work in a small team environment. Friendly, caring, positive attitude and personality is a required as well as strong communication skills. Physical requirements=ability to lift 50 lbs, regularly. Knowledge about Alzheimer's, Dementia, Brain Injuries, Stroke, Diabetes, ect... is a plus. This job requires great people skills, working directly with participants and families on a regular basis. Examples of job duties include: nursing skills within the LPN scope of practice, leading/assisting with activities/socializing, partipaction in inservice, training, meetings, including leading inservices or lining them up, providing supervision to particpants/staff, direct care of participants and assisting with ADL's (including toileting/bathing/feeding), monitoring/charting on participants, communication with participants, families, physicians/healthcare workers, assisting with cleaning duties/environmental sanititation, safety, and more. Hours are Monday-Friday 9:30-6:00pm, no weekend, or major holidays. Hourly rate will be discussed upon hire. Encourage bilingual and male nurses to apply for this position as well.
