Residential Director, LPN Preferred (Lexington/Nicholasville)

Lord's Legacy Life Ministries provides support services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We are currently accepting applications for the Residential Director position. The Residential Director will oversea total operations for three residential facilities based in Nicholasville, KY. Knowledge of healthcare best practices and medical terminology is preferred. Salary: Salaried position based on a minimum of 40 hours per week. Vacation and time off shall be scheduled according to the staff handbook policies of LLM and completion of probationary period and one year employment. Any and all request off forms shall be submitted to the Assistant Executive Director for approval prior to requested date.
Compensation: Administrative position includes the opportunity for reimbursement of health, dental, and vision insurance following ninety days full time employment statues. Also, after ninety days of full-time employment, five PTO days are granted with the approval of the Assistant Executive Director. In addition, five PTO days will be granted at each annual employment mark.
Time: This position is scheduled a minimum of 40 hours per week, unless otherwise approved. This approval is based on the capability of full completion of all responsibilities and shall be reviewed should the hours need modified to accommodate the administrative position. The position may require additional time to assure all duties and responsibilities are fulfilled according to this description. It is expected during reviews and/or state visits that additional time be utilized to assure ALL duties are completed prior to review. The Residential Director will be included in the rotational on-call schedule shared by LLM directors. Code of Conduct: It is understood that holding an administrative position with LLM requires all administrative staff to conduct themselves according to a high moral standard while in the office and out in the community. LLM was founded as a faith based organization and expects all administration to reflect the mission and philosophy in their daily attitudes and actions.

Summary Job Function: Administrative function of the Residential Director shall include the complete oversight of the Residential Department. Personal qualities shall include a positive, energetic, pro-active approach to planning, leadership and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Oversee all operations of the Residential Department to assure a high standard of care, compliance with all LLM policies and/or state regulated policies. 2. Observe and evaluate staff performance to ensure quality service and compliance with outcomes and objectives of the individuals receiving support. Initiate and coordinate corrective action with staff when indicated. Conduct regularly scheduled staff meetings. 3. Train staff in proper operational procedures and functions. 4. Coordinate scheduling of staff to meet the needs and requirements of the individuals LLM supports. Ensure vacant shifts are staffed. 5. Resolve complaints regarding staff performance and services rendered. 6. Review and maintain individual charts according to state regulation. 7. Perform monthly house site audits to ensure compliance with LLM policies and/or state requirements. 8. Maintain and audit individual's medical chart, medication administration records, maintain up-to-date prescriptions, ensure correct dosage and accurate supply of medications are delivered to each home site. 9. Schedule and assist with individual medical appointments, medication management and medical monitoring follow up. 10. Monitor individual financial reports ensuring all expenditures and deposits are accurately accounted for. Submit monthly for review. 11. Ensure each home site has an adequate supply of groceries; keep an accurate report of grocery expenditures and submit monthly for review, plan monthly menus according to individual dietary needs. 12. Complete monthly summaries by the 15th of each month and forward to case management provider. 13. Review monthly attendance records for individuals to ensure accuracy. 14. Review and process payroll on a bi-weekly basis. Submit all payroll to Human Resources Director for final processing. 15. Participate in person centered planning activities for each individual in the Residential Department; communicate effectively with families, individuals, support team members and LLM personnel. 16. Understand current regulations, adapt to regulation/policy changes, mandate changes within the required timeframe and assure staff training on all changes and revision. 17. Participate in LLM fundraising activities, employee socials, and family support groups. 18. Participate in the rotational on-call schedule. 19. All administrative staff must be available and assure flexibility when a state review is scheduled: vacation time or time off for any reason may not be approved during this time. 20. Other duties as assigned or delegated by the Assistant Executive Director.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of management principles related to leadership techniques. 2. Knowledge of principles of Residential Supports, abuse, neglect, exploitation, individualized training needs, rights advocacy, crisis prevention, medical monitoring and medication management. 3. Awareness of the reactions of others and ability to actively look for ways to support and assist the consumers and the staff who support them to meet outcomes, objectives and goals. 4. Ability to solve interpersonal conflict and communicate by listening when speaking while maintaining professionalism with dignity and respect for all parties involved. 5. Ability to analyze situations and determine if and when intervention may be needed to avoid potential problems. 6. Computer literacy and strong written literacy skills with ability to support complete documentation to support the services that LLM provides.
Qualification, Education, and Experience: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Two years experience working with individuals with Developmental or Intellectual disabilities required. Associates degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management best practices and medical monitoring best practices preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations: A personal vehicle, communication availability, valid Kentucky Driver's License and valid insurance required. Regulated trainings and ongoing training required to further competency in the field.
