Kelly Healthcare Resources (KHR) specializes in providing highly skilled nursing and allied health professionals within hospitals and other health care facilities, as well as positions in sectors such as insurance, pharmaceutical, health management, and education.
Current Needs: Currently seeking an RN, LPN or Occupational Health Nurse in Gwinner, North Dakota responsible for performing semi-routing industrial nursing duties in coordinating the work of other nurses, maintaining records of employee treated for illness or injury and supervising the operation of a dispensary on all shifts. This is a per diem/PRN position.
Position Description:
· Performs semi-routing industrial nursing duties, administers first aid to employees or others incurring illness or sustaining injury while on Company property.
· Determines if employees reporting to the dispensary for treatment of illness or accident should be returned to work, directed to go home, be hospitalized, or if a physician should be summoned.
· Treats lacerations, burns, contusions, punctures, splinter, strains and sprains, and other common types of injuries, including removal of foreign bodies from eyes.
· Applies surgical dressings, gives heat treatment, and massages following standard practices or as directed by physician.
· Watches minor illnesses for complications or symptoms of a more serious development.
· Is responsible for giving pre-employment examination to summer employees, reinstating examinations, and interpreting doctor's report in recommending approval or rejection of applicant.
· Maintains medical record of all employees treated for illness or injury.
· Keeps dispensary clean and orderly, and maintains an adequate supply of medicaments, drugs, and order additional supplies as needed.
· May assist in issuing of gloves, safety glasses and other safety equipment.
· Assists in the filing of all industrial claims with the Workforce Safety Insurance and assembles all data required for hearings or substantiation of Company's position.
· Performs other such related or similar duties as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
· At least 1 year experience as an RN or LPN required.
· Experience in occupational health preferred.
Education & Certification License Requirements:
· Must have current RN or LPN license in good standing in the state of North Dakota.
