Growing Not-for-Profit Hospice is looking for a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an interest in end-of-life care. The Hospice LPN provides direct care to patients in their homes or skilled nursing facilities. He or she works with other healthcare professionals to deliver the best overall care plan for patients with life-limiting illness. This position offers potential for growth, a friendly staff, and an opportunity to interact with patients and their families on a very personal level. This is a per-diem position with after-hour on-call responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (currently licensed in the State of Hawaii).
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to Islands Hospice's philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.
- Skill in the use of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and/or the ability to learn.
- Willingness to perform on-call duties
- Must have reliable automobile, valid driver's license, and the minimum state required liability auto insurance.
- Previous experience in hospice, home health or geriatrics preferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply and participate in a comprehensive training program.

Compensation: Per-visit rate / pager rate
