Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, the region's leading provider, educator and advocate for sexual and reproductive health care, is searching for a Certified Medical Assistant OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Moorhead Clinic. This position will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service and patient care as well as supporting the operations of the clinic. Essential Functions:
Clinical Operations -- Prepare exam rooms, room patients and conduct patient history reviews. Perform basic laboratory tests and other procedures. Refer patients per protocol and perform follow-up functions and assure complete documentation of care plan. Administer injections including contraceptive supplies and treatment medications as ordered by the clinician.
Patient Advocacy and Education - Conduct basic patient education sessions with supervision including explanations of all FDA approved birth control methods, specific instructions on the patient's selected birth control method.
Patient Recordkeeping - Prepare patient charts, reviews forms for accuracy and completeness, file charts, and process transfer recordsQualifications:
-Medical Assistant degree
-Current CMA certification OR current MN LPN license
- 1-2 years clinic experience
- Experience in health care setting; bilingual language skills preferred
- Computer skills; patient database experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work with patients from diverse backgrounds Work Hours: Full-time, 35 hours/week. Typically will work Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
