Licensed Vocational Nurse (North County)
This job is within an infirmary in a boarding school in North County. Under the supervision of the director of the Health Facility, the LVN will provide health care services to students, including dispensing prescribed medication, administration of first aid, and assessment of normal adolescent complaints and conditions. The LVN will document and maintain accurate records of care given and perform other health related tasks as required by the director of the health center. The LVN will maintain communication with parents and outside health care providers in the fulfillment of his/her duties.
This job is concurrent with the 2010-11 school year lasting approx. 43 weeks. There are two positions available: one is a part time position with one day/week guaranteed. The other position is a full time position (40 hrs/week) with benefits and retirement plan.
Requirements:
--Current California LVN license.
--Current CPR certification.
--Minimum 3 years in a professional healthcare setting.
--Background check required.
--Computer skills recommended.
--Emergency and/or Urgent Care skills preferred.
